It’s a new blog!

You may have noticed that the blog now looks absolutely nothing like the old one did. This is for a couple of reasons:

  1. The old site was overrun by spam bots.
  2. I coded the old one myself (which I’m proud of), but it seemed to only make sense to me.
  3. Using it routinely drove Callina insane.

So! To that end, for the last couple of weeks, I’ve been working on porting our old blog over to this new, professionally coded one, and I reckon I’ve done a fairly good job of it. All posts and images and junk have been carried over.

There are a few kinks to be worked out as you may notice – the first of which is the shoutbox – while it’s perfectly usable right now, it doesn’t look very good. Secondly, there is no google map integration. While I know this was broken on the old blog for a while now, it is a feature I sorta liked, and will probably bring back. Lastly, some of the old comments are a bit broken, or in worst cases attached to the wrong post. If you come accross these, feel free to point them out to me.

And that’s about it. Assuming you’re still reading this blog, I think you’ll find we’ll be updating a lot more often, if only because it’ll be easier. I hope you all enjoy.

You’ve made WordPress look nice! …how did you manage that?! Demon gods? Bribery? Begging?

I like to call it skill.

Plus there was a bit of sarcificing of puppies here and there, but, you know, that sorta stuff is to be expected.

(Glad you like it)

It’s nice… so much nicer than my shitty WP blog. If you have any secrets to share about which puppies make the WP demon gods happy than let me know via email.

In the meantime I have another favour to ask: please stop posting YouTube videos that I can’t watch! No fair!

Post. Or else I will have to sacrifice something…

And puppy numbers are low as it is already.
