Let Sleeping Swans lie
Interesting things I have seen when walking to work this past 2 week:
- Swans Sleeping on the bank of the Thames
- A guy going with the flow (kiayak down the river as it rushed out with the tide – the river has remarkably fast tides) i wondered at how he would ever make it back home.. wait for the next tide in? Â
- MI5 & MI6
- Big Ben Striking 7
- A crane (bird) catching fish in a tide pool
- Guys building a lounge room (complete with TV and Sofa) out of sand on the south bank.
- Birds actually fishing on the Thames (bodes well for the general health of the river!)
- A bunch of balloons at the point when they transitioned from free flight to entangled in tree.. previously i have only ever seen them in the pre and post states.. never before the transition. 🙂
- The home of William Bligh (comander of ‘the bounty’)
- The previously mentioned African Childrens choir.
- A Tap Dancer busking (on oxford st on the way to dinner)
- An ancient black swan turned grey, in St James Park, with wizened neck.
